Technical Support & Implementation Team Leader - Open Since 1/13/2020


Dynamic Imaging Systems, a software development and integration company located in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, is seeking a Technical Support & Implementation Team Leader. Our company specializes in the development of software applications and delivery of integration services for public safety / corrections industry.
Position Overview
This is a dual role that involves both oversight and direct work activities related to the planning, integration, deployment, as well as technical support of the Company product suite. The candidate must be a highly motivated individual who has the necessary skill and motivation to lead and direct a team of Technical Support representatives and at least 1 other Implementation Specialist. As mentioned, the candidate will also be expected to perform customer technical support and customer project implementation activities. The latter may be remote as well as on-site, so some travel should be anticipated. Accordingly, the successful candidate must be able to acquire in-depth Company product knowledge and relevant product configuration expertise in a short period of time.


Key Job Responsibilities
The candidate’s focus will be spent in two areas:
  • Daily supervision and performance of ongoing customer technical support, and
  • Managing and performing implementation tasks for customer projects.

    The candidate will be a member and leader within the Development, Implementation, and Technical Services team. The candidate will be expected to lead the customer support efforts of the team, specifically, daily/weekly prioritization, and escalated problems. The support environment consists of managing technical support cases from a large, nation-wide customer base both during business hours as well as in a 24x7 rotation. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to lead and manage the preparation, delivery, and implementation of customer projects. Typically, these tasks include analysis of the customer environments, joint calls and meetings, coordination with the project manager, hardware component knowledge, customized interfaces, data conversions, installation and training for the Company product software in accordance with project deliverables.


    Requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written,
  • Ability to analyze project requirements and formulate the appropriate tasks,
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server OS and IIS,
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, relational database design, and query writing,
  • Ability to perform product trainings for small and large groups, in person,
  • Occasional travel is required.


    Desired Skills
  • Programming with .NET, javascript and C#,
  • Oracle Database experience & exposure (including query writing),
  • Ability to perform product trainings for small and large groups, in person,
  • Windows domain and security permission and authentication concepts.


    Educational & Work Requirements
    A minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3 years of relevant or equivalent work experience.

    Position Overview
    As Product Manager, the candidate will be responsible for design, user experience, and value aspects of the Company’s products. This extends from increasing the attractiveness and profitability of existing Company products to potentially cultivating new products for the company. This will also entail involvement with sales and marketing initiatives within the organization, as relates to the benefits and competitive advantages of the products. The candidate will build from existing ideas and help develop new ideas based on industry experience, contact with existing and prospective customers alike, technical support data, bid proposal requirements, and other Company goals and objectives. The candidate must possess a blend of business and technical acumen and should immerse themselves in the market to understand the industry, evolving trends, and customer problems and needs. Researching and acquiring information about industry trends, customer initiatives, and the competitive landscape will be a critical and continual activity. The candidate must be a product champion and subject matter expert. They should be able to partner with stakeholders (internally and externally) as needed, and provide a decisive, planned roadmap approach for product development.

    The candidate must be able to work closely and communicate effectively both with different business units within the Company as well as with partners outside the Company. The candidate will need to expertly manage their workload and balance multiple initiatives and priorities. The candidate will be expected to document product requirements and devise action plans for all product initiatives, ensuring the end results are fulfilled with exceptional quality. Product initiatives will incorporate important activities, such as, defining product release requirements, closely overseeing and supporting the development and QA process, and assisting with an appropriate marketing strategy that emphasizes key benefits and value aspects. Educating Company business units, business partners, and key customers will be an integral component of all product releases.


    Key Job Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and actively participating in the product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities to final release.
  • Specifying and documenting product requirements and devising product direction through market research. This will be supported by communication and visits with customers, industry shows, competitive landscape analysis, and gathering information from business units and other stakeholders.
  • Working closely with key customers, business units and partners.
  • Providing training, educational, and collaborative feedback sessions.
  • Assisting with the implementation and execution of product marketing strategies.
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships and identifying potential revenue-generating initiatives.

    Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of software product management experience.
  • Work experience with iOS and mobile applications.
  • Experience with current web technology (architecture and programming platforms).
  • Computer Science or Business degree or relevant work experience a strong plus.
  • Experience in the Corrections industry a strong plus.
  • This position will require travel to customer sites and industry shows in the US (10%-20%).
